Text written in cursive reads : friendship example: Berkeley, California circa 2017 My last photo with my friend was days before her death. She hid her face behind my shoulder. She didn't want me to be scared by how skeletal she had become as she moved towards death. I did not have a chance to say that she didn't scare me and that she never would scare me. That I'd remember her and our friendship as more than our bones. That I'd always keep her loved.
